Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Solihull - Office-based with UK travel

Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)

Reporting To: Technical Manager

Overview:

A growing Managed Service Provider is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to provide 2nd/3rd line support, manage IT infrastructure, conduct Wi-Fi surveys, and deliver on-site services across the UK. This role involves working with advanced networking technologies, particularly HPE Aruba, firewalls, and managed switches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and support customer network environments
• Provide technical expertise in HPE Aruba Wi-Fi (APs, Central Cloud, clustering)
• Conduct Wi-Fi surveys using Ekahau software and prepare customer reports
• Configure and support firewalls (Barracuda/Fortinet) and managed switches
• Set up and manage VPNs
• Travel throughout the UK for surveys and on-site support as needed

Requirements:

Essential:

• Proven experience with HPE Aruba Wi-Fi
• Skilled in Ekahau Wi-Fi surveying and reporting
• Firewall and switch configuration (Barracuda, Fortinet)
• VPN setup and support

Desirable:

• Experience with Cisco devices, Azure networking, or Aruba ClearPass
• Familiarity with Autotask or ConnectWise
