We are hiring for a Senior Application and Systems Developers - (EL1 Level) for one of our Federal Clients.
Role: Senior Application and Systems Developers - (EL1 Level)
Location of work: Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne (Hybrid)
Contract duration: 06 months + 06 months extension.
Security clearance: Australian Citizen (client intend to process Baseline security clearance after onboarding)
Overview:
Key duties and responsibilities
Working within the Legacy CMS & Apps team with direction and support from the Director Product Management & Customer Experience, and the Development Team you will;
- Utilise JIRA and Scrum or Kanban approaches to deliver tasks, changes and products to ensuring delivery of high-quality products and user experience (where possible)
- Work closely with business, technology and corporate service users to help identify causal problems and requirements to ensure the right problem is solved (with technology)
- Make and contribute ideas, innovation and suggestions to resolve a list of simple to complex challenges with consideration to short-, medium- and long-term approaches and solutions.
- Work closely with the Director PMCE, Cyber Security and Support teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, reporting requirements, risk management and identify and seek exemptions where required.
Specialist Accountabilities
- Re-development and maintenance of .NET or similar applications
- Re-development and maintenance of Microsoft Word macro & non-macro templates
- Re-development and maintenance of web-based systems, applications and reporting solutions
- Assist with the detailed planning, execution, testing and documentation of application updates
Technical skills
.NET stack, such as C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core Visual Studio Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing SQL Server Word mail merge fields, VBA, JSON
Criteria
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in working with JIRA and Scrum or Kanban approaches to deliver tasks, changes and products to ensuring delivery of high-quality products and user experience.
2. Demonstrated experience in working with business, technology and corporate service users to help identify causal problems and requirements to ensure the right problem is solved (with technology)
3. Contribution to ideas, innovation and suggestions to resolve a list of simple to complex challenges with consideration to short, medium and long term approaches and solutions.
4. Demonstrated experience in working closely with the Director PMCE, Cyber Security and Support teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, reporting requirements, risk management and identify and seek exemptions where required.
5. Demonstrated experience in working with Government in customer-focussed service delivery, managing competing priorities, and delivering in a fast-paced change environment.
Desirable criteria
1. Holding an Australian Government Security Clearance is beneficial.
2. Accreditation in agile or technology frameworks.
3. Police check required
4. Must be based in Australia with a right to work.
