We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern Data Scientist to join our Perth Digital & Data Advisory team this summer. As a data engineering / data science intern within the Jacobs Data and Optimisation team, you will support multidisciplinary teams in leveraging data to solve complex engineering and infrastructure problems. Your tasks will include

  • Design and Build Data Pipelines Support development of robust data pipelines that facilitate the collection, storage, and processing of large datasets from various sources, deploying on Azure or AWS cloud ecosystems.
  • Machine Learning Model Development Assisting in building and validating predictive models in frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, and Scikit-Learn
  • Visualisation and Dashboarding Support the delivery of data pipeline and machine learning outputs through visualisations and dashboards for stakeholders


You’ll contribute to a variety of different projects and be involved in developing data assets and solutions using technical data engineering skills applied to a range of industries – and we’ll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.

Ideally, you’re in your penultimate year at university studying a degree in Data Science or related Engineering degree. This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia.
