Junior Cyber Security Specialist

We are currently hiring a Junior CyberSecurity Engineer based in one of this cities in Portugal (Lisbon, Porto Coimbra, or Viseu) or open for a relocation to Portugal.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling activities to identify vulnerabilities and define effective mitigation strategies;
2. Participate in security architecture reviews and collaborate with development teams to ensure secure software design and implementation;
3. Perform system and application security testing, including vulnerability assessments and compliance checks;
4. Support the implementation and adherence to security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 21434, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework;
5. Continuously contribute to improving cybersecurity practices by staying up to date with emerging threats, trends, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

1. Academic background in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience;
2. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including secure software development, security architecture concepts, and design best practices;
3. Previous experience (even if academic projects) with security risk assessments, threat modeling, architecture reviews, and system security testing;
4. Familiarity with security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 21434, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (a plus);
