IP Network Engineer

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a leading global technology company for the role of Network Engineer, to be based 100% onsite at the client’s office. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced networking professional to contribute to the design, operation, and continuous improvement of a large-scale enterprise network. This is a full-time onsite role.

Available locations: Bucharest, Brasov & Iasi, Romania.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain large-scale network infrastructure in complex, high-availability environments.
• Use and enhance operational procedures and tools to plan and safely execute network changes.
• Build scalable, automated solutions that enable support teams to quickly respond to network failures.
• Work closely with network hardware vendors and internal QA teams to troubleshoot issues, drive bug resolution, and qualify new firmware/operating systems.
• Perform firmware upgrades and configuration refreshes across critical networking components.
• Monitor and improve network performance, reliability, and observability using telemetry and monitoring platforms.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise or ISP-grade networks.
• Strong knowledge of core protocols and technologies, including: MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, VxLAN, EVPN
• Proficiency in scripting or automation - Python preferred, but experience in any scripting or compiled language is acceptable with demonstrable skill.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions.
• Background in a network operations role within a large ISP, data center, or cloud provider environment.
• Solid understanding of VPN, SSL, and secure networking principles.
