Senior Network Engineer

We are currently looking for a skilled ICT Network Specialist to join the internal IT team of a leading Swiss consulting and services company, supporting their offices across multiple locations including Zurich, St. Gallen, and Zug.

In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for the design, operation, and development of modern network and firewall infrastructures, helping ensure secure and high-performance connectivity across the organization.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external service providers, taking ownership of core network functions while contributing to cross-location IT infrastructure projects.

Your responsibilities

• Planning, operating, and continuously improving LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall infrastructures
• Supporting the configuration, monitoring, and security of network environments
• Coordinating with internal departments and managing relationships with external providers
• Contributing to IT infrastructure projects and system expansions across Swiss locations
• Ensuring secure access and availability of critical IT services

Your profile

• A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Solid background in network technologies (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet) and infrastructure management
• Strong understanding of IT security, especially within firewall and network segmentation contexts
• Experience in planning and operating complex network environments
• Fluent in German
