Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to build intelligent features and data-driven solutions for legal discovery applications using the Relativity platform. This role involves designing and implementing AI-powered systems for legal document analysis, leveraging natural language processing (NLP), classification models, and custom APIs to enhance legal review and eDiscovery workflows.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI-driven features that integrate with the Relativity platform (via REST, Kepler, and Processing APIs).
• Build machine learning models for classification, clustering, predictive coding, and NLP tasks in the legal domain.
• Develop scalable extensions and custom applications within the Relativity ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with legal tech product managers, data scientists, and software engineers.
• Ensure security, compliance, and ethical standards are met in all AI development.
• Build internal tools and SDKs to speed up future AI and Relativity development.
• Monitor and optimize performance and accuracy of deployed models and systems.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or data science roles.
• Strong background in Python, NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face), and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
• Experience working with Relativity APIs and custom app development.
• Understanding of TAR (Technology-Assisted Review) and legal domain data.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Azure Cognitive Services, or similar.
• Passion for legal innovation and using AI to streamline eDiscovery workflows.
