About The Role

Due to ongoing business growth and increasing demand, our client is seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join their expanding team at an exciting juncture. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to contribute to innovative projects within a forward-thinking organization. The PHP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic web applications that support the company's FinTech platforms. Reporting directly to the CTO, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the robustness and seamless integration of applications with various databases and front-end technologies. The role requires a proactive approach, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in software development with specific expertise in PHP frameworks. Essential qualifications include experience with Yii2 PHP and Laravel, familiarity with Vue.js, HTML5, CSS, SASS, and GIT. A good understanding of integrating external APIs to enhance application functionality is crucial. Candidates should have experience with PHP unit testing and other testing frameworks to ensure code quality. A background in agile methodologies and familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and workload management is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a desire for continuous learning are vital attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

The PHP Developer will be responsible for:

• Interpreting and translating business requirements and technical specifications into functional applications.
• Managing development workflows by raising and updating stories, issues, and bugs within Jira.
• Handling helpdesk tickets from software users and internal staff, triaging issues, and providing effective technical solutions.
• Building, enhancing, and maintaining core PHP-based applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integrations with external APIs and third-party services.
• Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high-quality development standards.
