About the Team:

The AWS Marketing team is driving innovation at the forefront of developer engagement. As an Android Developer, you'll help shape the mobile experience for tens of thousands of builders engaging with AWS content, events, and tools on the go.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain high-performance Android applications for builder-focused initiatives like AWS Events, Amplify integrations, and content discovery platforms.
2. Work cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to deliver scalable mobile features that amplify AWS outreach and impact.
3. Integrate AWS services (Amplify, AppSync, Cognito, etc.) into mobile applications.
4. Optimize app performance, reliability, and security across a diverse range of devices.
5. Ensure compliance with Play Store guidelines and security standards.
6. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.

Basic Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience developing Android applications in Kotlin and/or Java.
2. Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, MVVM, and modern architecture.
3. Experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming.
4. Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and agile development practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience integrating AWS services or other cloud platforms into mobile apps.
2. Previous experience working in marketing/engagement tech or developer platforms.
3. Experience with Compose, Firebase, or deep linking technologies.
4. Familiarity with analytics (Amplitude, GA, etc.) and push notification frameworks.
5. Excellent communication skills and a passion for creating intuitive mobile experiences for developers.
