About the Role

We're on the hunt for an experienced Senior Product Manager to take the reins on our payments product strategy and really boost revenue growth across our payment workflows. This role is perfect for a payments pro who truly gets the tech side, has amazing product instincts, and is super passionate about creating awesome user experiences.

You'll be spotting and acting on new opportunities within the payments world across AU/NZ/UK markets, all while making sure our payment and invoicing processes are super smooth for our users. MEL/SYD/ADL preferred.


Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and roll out the product roadmap for payments, invoicing, and related features.
  • Find revenue opportunities in payment workflows and make them happen.
  • Dig into market trends to understand the payments landscape and competition in AU/NZ/UK, especially as they relate to the health industry.
  • Define and track key metrics to measure the success of our payment products.


Payments & Financial Operations Expertise

  • Use your deep understanding of payment processing and product integrations.
  • Navigate the often-complex payment and finance ecosystems, including payment processors, fintech partners, and accounting software providers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our payment partners, processors, and financial service providers.
  • Design and improve invoicing workflows and how they integrate with our current payment systems.
  • Create integration strategies for account reconciliation services that make financial operations smoother for businesses.
  • Boost payment conversion rates and reduce transaction hiccups through clever integrations across the entire payment cycle.


User Experience & Design

  • Work closely with our design teams to create intuitive payment and invoicing experiences.
  • Do user research to understand payment behaviours and pain points.
  • Design user flows that strike a good balance between optimising conversions and building user trust and security.
  • Champion design excellence at every payment touchpoint.


Cross-functional Leadership

  • Team up with engineering to deliver top-notch payment and invoicing solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success to understand the needs of merchants and accounting workflows.
  • Coordinate with marketing on payment feature launches and how we position them.


Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on payments and invoicing.
  • A solid track record of successfully launching payment products, invoicing systems, or financial workflow solutions.
  • Experience with invoicing systems, billing workflows, account reconciliation, and revenue optimisation.


Technical Knowledge

  • Understand payment processing concepts and reconciliation workflows.
  • Understand invoicing lifecycle management, automated billing, etc.
  • Familiarity with popular payment methods in AU/NZ/UK/US.
  • Experience integrating with accounting software platforms (like Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB).
  • A conceptual grasp of APIs, webhooks, and technical integration processes for financial systems and third-party services.


Skills

  • Strong analytical skills, with a knack for making data-driven product decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with design thinking and user-centered design principles.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Highly regarded: Experience and/or understanding of payments within a health setting, including health payment systems like Tyro Health, HICAPS, and health insurance claim processing platforms.
