Release Train Engineer Opportunity

• Length of contract: 12 months with a 12-month extension option.
• Work locations: ACT
• Security clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen
• Key technical skills: Proven experience in ICT system delivery projects, cloud-based solutions, and project management in government environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major work program delivering innovative ICT-based solutions. As a Release Train Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in planning and managing the delivery of ICT projects that improve outcomes for Australians.

Your duties will include:

• Defining project scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the Director.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and the Technology Services Division (TSD) plan.
• Overseeing the delivery of technical components, including system architecture and cyber security.
• Collaborating with Business PMs to identify risks, issues, and escalations.
• Publishing weekly status reports and producing project closure reports.
• Driving operational readiness and ensuring compliance with technology standards.
  
  

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

• 8-10 years of experience in managing ICT system delivery projects, including cloud-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience in Federal or State Government project management.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications such as SAFe Agile or Diploma of Project Management.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive team culture and develop staff capability.
• Experience with Salesforce and accessibility-focused design is highly regarded.
