Were Looking for a Backend Developer

Were partnering with a healthcare technology company to scale and maintain their data-centric backend systems. In this role, youll write and maintain backend logic in Python and SQL, with a strong focus on database performance, data modeling, and orchestration of workflows. While the core of your work will revolve around SQL and code development, you'll also support investigation of performance issues and contribute to new components in the platform.

This position is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of backend development and data-focused systems.

What Youll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain backend components using SQL and Python
• Optimize SQL queries and analyze performance issues in a PostgreSQL-based environment
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to data access and latency
• Manage codebase in Git and contribute to clean, documented, and tested backend logic
• Participate in the ownership of new data products being developed by the team
• Use tools like DBT and Argo Workflows or Airflow to support orchestration
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure smooth delivery and integration
• Contribute to system stability by addressing issues proactively and participating in code reviews
  
  
  

What You Bring

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong command of SQL (PostgreSQL ideally) and query performance tuning
• Solid experience with Python for backend development
• Experience working with DBT, Argo Workflows, Airflow, or similar tools
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development environments
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to investigate data and code issues
• Good communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams

• Exposure to Kubernetes environments
• Basic understanding of CI/CD workflows
• Experience working in healthcare or data-sensitive environments
