Job Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Belgium

Signify have partnered with a client in the Media space looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team in Belgium and play a key role in leading and scaling our backend engineering efforts. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong, motivated teams.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of backend engineers, supporting them in their day to day work and longterm growth.
• Work closely with senior leadership to define and execute our technical roadmap.
• Help scale the team sustainably, hiring and onboarding new engineers as they grow.
• Foster a healthy engineering culture where autonomy, collaboration, and learning are encouraged.
• Ensure smooth delivery of backend projects balancing speed with code quality and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Design, and DevOps.

What we’re looking for

• Solid experience managing engineering teams, with a strong focus on backend development. (Kotlin, Python or Java)
• A background in building and scaling backend systems ideally in a cloud-based environment.
• Proven ability to grow teams and support engineers in their professional development.
• Experience introducing or improving engineering practices around code quality, deployment, and technical planning.
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, team-first approach to leadership.

Candidates must be based in Belgium.
