We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead our 15-million-euro Business Finland grant project, Compute to Impact. This role is crucial for the coordination and oversight of all project activities, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among both internal and external stakeholders. The Program Manager will manage project timelines, reporting, and monitor progress to achieve project goals. Additionally, this role involves the recruitment and establishment of partnerships with providers and deployers of AI technology.

Main responsibilities

• Design and implement structured collaboration models and operational workflows for both internal teams and with Business Finland and other external ecosystem partners to ensure aligned execution and efficient communication
• Run daily operations independently
• Facilitate collaboration and communication across the ecosystem
• Match-make for co-innovation projects and support the application process
• Set up steering mechanisms, reporting systems and practices to track progress
• Proactively manage ecosystem activities and partnerships
  
  
  

Collaboration with others

• This role belongs to the Operations team in AMD Silo AI’s R&D Models unit and will report to Sonja Rajala
• This role will collaborate closely with the Veturi communications and events manager, our internal engineering teams as well as a wide range of ecosystem partners and stakeholders
  
  
  

Main goals for first 6 months

• Establish program management and communication practices for the initiative
• Implement a reporting process to track progress and KPIs
• Ensure submittance of 3 successful co-innovation project applications
• Organize a kick-off for the ecosystem together with the Communications and events manager
• Build strong collaboration channels within the ecosystem

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Strong experience in managing large initiatives
• Experience in leading teams
• Experience working in or managing innovation ecosystems, consortiums, or public-private partnerships.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and pivot as priorities shift
• Ability to manage expectations and build trust with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English
