Job Title: Business Data Analyst

Location: Remote – Portugal

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing data to support our business operations and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of data management, data analysis, and data visualization techniques. It involves working with stakeholders to ensure data reliability, efficiency and quality, and developing and implementing data solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, validate, clean, normalize and organize data from various sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire company hierarchy to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Create and maintain data models, databases, and data integration solutions to support data analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Generate reports and dashboards to visualize data findings.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support decision-making.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends, efficiencies and best practices and incorporate them into everyday tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Specialist or in a similar role.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and its services.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, data governance and security practices.
• Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics.
