The Human Resources Director, International provides effective counsel and strategic support on all people related matters to the International Leadership Team and leads the Human Resources team in Europe to align business goals with the One Kinetico vision and strategy. The role is instrumental in embedding organizational effectiveness, leading change, and facilitating employee development. In addition, the role provides functional expertise as a coach and trusted advisor to the President International, European Country Managing Directors and functional leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partners with President of International to drive forward the organizational integration and realignment of the people strategy to support transformation of the European organization and overall business needs.
- Partners with President of International, Country Managing Directors, and Human Resource leads to integrate the businesses and teams within in each country to one country team. Works with pan-European functional leaders to integrate the functional organizations across Europe to execute global strategic initiatives at a regional and local level.
- Interprets business partner challenges and recommends organizational design best practices to align workforce capabilities with business goals using internal and external resources.
- Directly manages a team of HR professionals supporting the European countries in which we operate. Sets priorities for and leads team in development and implementation of core HR functions (talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits) and HR initiatives ensuring timely execution across multiple countries and adherence to global HR processes and procedures.
- Develops strong relationships with business partners and establishes operational plans to support their requirements. Oversees implementation of the plan through the deployment and collaboration of Human Resources team.
- Partners with leaders to proactively assess, develop, and retain talent.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to recommend policies and implement procedures that ensure the organization functions fairly, equitably, and compliantly.
- Successfully executes and manages the annual performance, succession, and merit review processes for the business in collaboration with Human Resources team members.
- Promotes a positive and engaging work environment by maintaining open lines of communication and supports the President in creating a resilient team that is accountable and collaborative.
- Responsible for managing, overseeing, and reporting critical metrics associated with workforce and business needs. Analyzes metrics and recommends and actions steps to support overall business performance.

What you will need to succeed:
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field, with at least 10+ years in Human Resources in progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience leading multi-country teams at the Director-level supporting regional European business leaders with transformation and organizational design initiatives.
- Experience leading HR in a fast paced, high growth business environment.
- Working leader with the ability to take a high-level view while attending to details to complete the work.
- Exceptional business acumen – knows how to connect the HR strategy with the overall business goals. Ability to develop a keen understanding of the organization and its internal human resources needs.
- Has knowledge of labor laws and regulations in multiple European countries (Spain, United Kingdom, Denmark, Brussels, and France) and is able to apply them.
- Proven track record as a builder of culture and teams. Ability to create a positive impression of the company and to promote it at every organizational level.
- Excellent people skills and ability to establish working relationships; relates well to people at all levels; builds comprehensive and effective networks.
- Ability to skillfully mediate and resolve conflict both logically and dispassionately.
- Possesses strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
- Possesses strong written and oral communication skills and can create and deliver effective presentations and successfully communicate change.
- Fluency in Spanish and English required; additional language proficiency a plus.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Deliver strategic HR KPIs to shape organizational success including:
- Timeliness of delivery and quality of execution of transformation and integration initiatives.
- Support financial delivery by ensuring employee turnover rate, time to fill, absenteeism, and cost per hire relative to budget.
- Deliver on key compliance metrics including adherence to labor laws, certifications, and internal policies.
- Ensure the impact of employee engagement and alignment of employees to Kinetico’s values.
- Ensure succession planning and the retention of top talent across organization.
