Junior Network Resolution Engineer

Daily rate: $500 inclusive of Superannuation

Location: Melbourne

Contract Duration- 05 months duration

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and alarms using NMS tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Netcool, Zabbix).
• Perform basic troubleshooting of network outages, latency, and packet loss issues in telecom infrastructure.
• Handle customer-reported incidents related to connectivity and escalate as required.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls under senior supervision.
• Document issue resolutions, update ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and follow ITIL practices.
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams for timely issue resolution.
• Participate in 24x7 rotational shifts and on-call support as per the team schedule.
• Maintain accurate logs, SOPs, and support knowledge base.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• Basic understanding of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing & switching.
• Familiarity with telecom equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei) is a plus.
• Hands-on exposure (academic or internship) with ping, traceroute, telnet, SSH, etc.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced telecom environment.
