The role

We’re looking for a hands-on Product Manager with a track record of shipping features end-to-end: from deep user research to edge-case handling, grooming, QA and launch comms. 

This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone who’s strategic, technically curious, and deeply familiar with the crypto space. You’ll collaborate with our Founder and engineers—but you’ll lead product thinking independently and work across small pods (design, QA, support) to bring ideas to life.

Note: This role requires advanced crypto knowledge. You should be comfortable with DeFi, LP protocols, and on-chain flows—even if you've explored these as a hobbyist.

✅ What you'll do:

• Understand and solve user problems: Gather and analyze user feedback, investigate the user journey, and identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Shape and improve the product end-to-end: Work closely with the Founder and the Product Team to refine ideas and the product strategy based on data -driven user insights. You’ll also put on your research hat and test new features before release. 
• Organise the product team: Manage competing priorities and ruthlessly prioritise in Jira to keep the team focussed and moving toward the roadmap.
• Ensure integration quality:  Analyse transaction data to catch errors or inconsistencies, and work with developers to fix these issues and improve how our integrations function.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Share clear updates across engineering, marketing, and customer support to ensure smooth and successful launches.
• Drive product thinking independently: Work closely with the Founder and engineering team, but you’ll need to be self-directed and confident in defining scope, making trade-offs, and shaping solutions without heavy top-down guidance.

In your first 30 days you’ll:

• Know the product inside out - after all, we expect our users to be able to do their taxes with Koinly in under 20 minutes.
• Work with Robin, our Founder, to clearly articulate the product roadmap.
• Create a shared brain across teams to empower independent decision-making.

🎯 What you'll bring

• Advanced crypto expertise: You have a deep understanding of cryptocurrency fundamentals, including liquidity, DAOs, transaction mechanics, and blockchain ecosystems.
• 5+ years in product roles: You’ve shipped real features in fast-moving teams and know how to prioritize, groom, and deliver.
• Product thinking: You’re customer-centric, strategic, and data informed.
• Analytical and strong technical curiosity: You’re someone who can obsess over edge cases and enjoy going deep into technical flows — from investigating data discrepancies to anticipating failure scenarios before users do. You’re also comfortable sifting through the code base when needed.
• Excellent communication: Near-native English, clear async writing, and confident external-facing skills.
• Attention to detail: You spot the smallest of mistakes and have a meticulous approach to QA.
• Cross-functional collaboration: You communicate clearly and work well across marketing, support, and devs.
• Hands-on approach: You’re adaptable, enjoy getting involved and embrace a fast-paced, evolving industry.
• Ownership: You like working independently, managing your own backlog and solving ambiguity.
• 0→1 builder mindset:  You’ve built products or features from 0→1, including defining scope, creating scrappy wireframes, iterating on feedback, and making trade-offs that balance UX, tech constraints, and speed.

Your first few weeks at Koinly are all about mutual discovery. You’ll receive hands-on tasks that help us understand your technical strengths and how you operate in our async-first, ownership-driven environment. At the same time, you’ll get to explore whether our way of working challenges and supports you in the right ways.
