Software Project Manager (225-709)

Job Description

The Software Project Manager plays a critical role in the successful delivery of software projects, ensuring that they meet client specifications, are delivered on time, and stay within budget. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a keen understanding of software development life cycles. The Software Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure the alignment of project goals and resource optimization. Additionally, the role involves meticulous planning, risk management, and ongoing communication to facilitate the seamless integration of new technologies. A successful candidate will exhibit a combination of technical knowledge, project management experience, and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee software projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Liaise with stakeholders to gather project requirements and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans to accommodate changes and challenges.
• Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations efficiently.
• Conduct regular project status meetings with team members and stakeholders.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigating strategies to address them.
• Ensure compliance with software quality assurance standards and procedures.
• Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams for better collaboration.
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and provide regular updates.
• Lead, mentor, and support project team members to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in software project management roles.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
• Possess PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and conflicting priorities effectively.
