About The Role

We are seeking a full-time Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical and technical background to contribute to high-impact projects. As a Data Scientist at OGC, you will work directly with clients, including global Fortune 500 companies, delivering consulting projects and providing strategic insights that drive business improvements. The role involves designing and executing quantitative research, developing data science solutions, and transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. This position is remote but requires working East Coast hours, providing flexibility while maintaining alignment with client and team schedules. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging data to solve real-world problems, improve customer experiences, and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from a top university with outstanding academic records, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Finance, or related fields. MA/MSc is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis and data science roles.
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including functions, charts, sorting, logical data extraction, and VBA.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau and Qlik.
  • Experience with statistical packages such as R, STATA, or SPSS.
  • Familiarity with CX tools like Medallia and Qualtrics is an advantage.
  • Experience with Conjoint analysis is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and insights in complex data sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong presentation and data visualization skills, with a good sense of design for PowerPoint reports.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High comfort level with emerging technologies and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of quantitative research and consulting projects from initial design to final delivery, including project planning and data preparation.
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis to uncover insights and trends relevant to client objectives.
  • Build and automate predictive models such as classification, regression, and forecasting models.
  • Transform large datasets from internal and external sources into analysis-ready formats.
  • Research and evaluate new data sources, analytical methodologies, and data collection techniques to enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance on analytical techniques and best practices to team members and sales colleagues.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects using math, statistics, and machine learning to extract meaningful insights from raw data across various industries.
  • Develop user-focused visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex models and findings effectively.
  • Prepare clear, compelling reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, summarizing key insights and recommendations.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, present findings, and support strategic decision-making processes.
