About the Role

We are seeking a highly autonomous and experienced Lead Front-End Engineer with deep expertise in React Native. This isn't just about coding; it's about leading, innovating, and significantly impacting product direction from day one.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the consumer-facing mobile application using React Native, focusing on creating delightful user experiences, smooth animations, reliable offline functionality, and top-tier performance.
• Drive rapid product iteration, moving quickly from concept to deployment, measuring results, and deciding whether to expand or refine features.
• Act as a mentor to other front-end engineers and contribute to core architectural decisions.
• Proactively propose new ideas, challenge assumptions, and influence the product roadmap with a strong product mindset.
• Comfortably navigate backend systems (Node/TypeScript, Python AI pipelines) and infrastructure (Google Cloud, Airflow) to ensure smooth operations and unblock development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and launching B2C mobile products, ideally within an early-stage startup environment.

Required Skills

• Deep proficiency in React Native and TypeScript, with comfort in incorporating native code when necessary.
• Proven track record of taking initiative, making sound judgments, and adapting quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior developers through code reviews and design sessions.
• Familiarity with our stack: React Native, TypeScript, Python (AI), Node, Postgres, GCP, Terraform.
