We’re hiring a Senior Data/Business Analyst to support high-impact digital transformation within DG TAXUD, focusing on UCC-related import and customs processes.

This is your chance to drive large-scale policy implementation and regulatory innovation at the heart of the European Union.

Your Role

As a key player within the customs domain, you’ll manage and support the full lifecycle of UCC digital projects — from strategic planning to maintenance. You’ll work alongside EU institutions, Member States, and stakeholders to define business processes, perform data mapping, and ensure project success.

What You Bring

Essential Expertise:

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis and project management, ideally in UCC digital systems
• Deep knowledge of EU customs procedures, import operations, and the Union Customs Code
• Proven skills in process and data modelling, especially using BPM methodologies and ARIS
• Experience supporting change requests, stakeholder coordination, and cross-border project delivery
• Familiarity with EC methodologies (EU BPM, RUP@EC, TEMPO)

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex policy and regulatory content into actionable digital solutions
• Clear, concise communicator across both technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-starter with excellent project tracking, documentation, and milestone delivery skills
• Comfortable engaging with Member States, internal teams, subcontractors, and other DGs

Nice to Have:

• Experience with EUCDM/WCO Data Model
• Knowledge of e-commerce customs clearance and low-value consignments
• Blockchain certification or background in emerging tech within customs
• Previous work within EU institutions or a public sector regulatory environment
