Job Description

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.

Role

Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

  • Leadership talks with key Leaders from across the organization
  • Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation
  • Diversity and Inclusion and Personal Branding and so much more

At TD, we have the customer at are core. And that includes their online banking experience with us. Alongside a collaborative team of UX and UI designers, as well as supportive leaders, you’ll have opportunities to learn, grow and make a meaningful difference to our customers via their day-to-day banking needs.

Job Description

As a valued contributor to the Design Practice at TD, you’ll be passionate about the end user, our customer. You’ll be inquisitive about research, data, insights, so that you can logically apply them to digital solutions in the online banking domain. You’ll provide input, digest business needs, ask questions to refine solutions, and deliver UX artifacts for legendary customer experiences.

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Design, Interaction Design, User Interface Design, Graphic Design, Design Strategy, User-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)
  • Business specific job requirements
    • A passion for great design and an eagerness to learn
    • Resourcefulness and willingness to adapt to processes to meet project needs
    • Ability to articulate design approaches and rationales to colleagues and stakeholders
    • Drive to collaborate, be curious, and foster collaboration
    • Self-motivated, organized and accountable
    • Conceptual ideation and visualization skills
    • Eagerness to problem solve in a collaborative environment
    • Versatility and flexibility
    • Some experience with UX-related software packages
    • Role will require use of the Figma application and similar design tools
    • High visual acuity is a position requirement.
    • Course work demonstrating a range of conceptual and UX design abilities, and how you worked with peers as part of a team
  • Nice to Have
    • Sketching skills
    • Digital prototyping
    • Experience working in a hybrid environment

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence January 6th - April 25th, 2025.
