Join us in shaping the future of connectivity! The Edge Network Operations team supports incident and problem management for one of the world's largest edge networks. You will be junior network engineer, collaborating with various teams to keep a network serving billions of users operating smoothly. You will engage with multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a highly distributed environment, while contributing to process improvement and automation. Your customer service skills combined with technical foundation in server hardware, networks and system administration will be invaluable as you work towards maintaining network operations. Key Responsibilities:
Support triage, troubleshooting, and repair of global production networks across ISP Peering and Content Delivery Network (CDN) elements.
Services include server repair, software/firmware repairs, circuit repair, and network repair - facilitating fault identification, isolation, troubleshooting of physical/logical issues, issue resolution, and configuration updates.
Work across global teams in a collaborative formation to engage in complex problem solving, issue management, and root cause analysis utilizing standard procedures.
Follow defined procedures and utilize tools to collect data and resolve issues within defined SLAs. Engage with 3rd party vendors, OEMs, and field services to facilitate resolution.
Escalate to Tier 2 and Operations Engineering leadership to resolve complex or high priority issues.
Identify and support development of continuous improvement initiatives across process, tooling, data, or automation.
Continuously adapt and evolve with service needs and infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in network engineering
Minimum 2 years experience in troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues using, diagnostics, logs, reports and configurations
Minimum 2 years experience in execute MOPs for network and server troubleshooting, triage, and repair
Understanding of common server components and software, including Linux OS, BIOS and kernel knowledge
Understanding of network routing and switching technologies and protocols including IPV4 IPV6, TCP IP, VLAN, BGP, DNS
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Linux Unix Shell
Familiarity with network and server hardware OEMs including Arista, Juniper, Cisco, HPE
Competence to certify on CompTIA, CCNA JNCIP, CCNP JNCIP or equivalent experience preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Willing to participate in 7 day shift rotation schedule on site in Denver, CO. No remote work option is available
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree
Industry certifications including CompTIA, CCNA, JNCIA
Telecom or Platform industry experience
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York/New Jersey or Washington as set forth below.
