PHP Developer

With a team of over 2900 talents, we’re also shaping careers worldwide. We’re currently looking for a PHP Developer to join our Africa & Asia hub - as part of our core development team - focused on building and enhancing our fintech solutions.

What You’ll be doing:

• Design, implement, and improve new and existing features within a legacy system to enhance functionality and user experience
• Engage in discussions on application design, architecture, and database structure to drive impactful solutions
• Address bug fixes and troubleshoot production issues to maintain system stability and performance
• Review business requirements, clarify project details, and provide accurate time and effort estimates
• Collaborate with the team to plan and execute sprint goals
• Increase the system’s test coverage to ensure robust, high-quality code
• Develop and maintain documentation as needed for project continuity and knowledge sharing
• Respond to and resolve reported issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for timely delivery

What You'll need:

• 3+ years working experience as a PHP developer
• Experience with PHP 8.1 or higher
• Prior experience in developing software for fintech or lending companies or in a similar field
• Experience with writing Unit tests and familiarity with PHP Unit
• Experience with one of the PHP frameworks (Symfony, Zend)
• Experience with GIT
• Good object-oriented design skills
• Understanding of software architecture paradigms and patterns
• Basic command line (terminal) usage
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices
• Issue tracking software: Atlassian Jira
• Experience and knowledge of Docker
• Proficiency in English, verbal and written

Bonus points for:

• SQL knowledge
• Experience with PostgreSQL and query optimization

Salary for this role ranges from EUR 4500 to 5000 gross per month, depending on your experience and skill set.
