Our studio in Weesp is easily accessible by public transport (station Weesp) and car (A1), and offers an environment where positive work culture stands central to effective collaboration.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

An experienced Character Artist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for creating a wide variety of character customization assets that are compatible with other assets and different character shapes and sizes.


In this role you will:

  • Model, UV, and prepare modular character assets such as outfits, hair styles and hard surface parts (armour, weapons and robotics) following provided concept art.
  • Create texture masks for a highly customizable material workflow.
  • Work alongside the 3D Art lead as well as the character, animation and concept art teams to make assets with a consistent level of detail and visual style while maintaining compatibility with the game’s player customization and animation requirements.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior work demonstrates ability to deliver high quality character art for real-time applications.
  • Experience with efficient UVs and deformation-friendly topology.
  • Experience in Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter and/or equivalents.
  • An active learner, on top of new developments that improve the quality and efficiency of your output.
  • Able to manage your time and scope to meet the project’s overall requirements.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Disciplined in organizing, naming and documenting your work.


EXTRA POINTS

  • Experience with tech art – being able to make tools and scripts to help you and others automate repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with Marvelous Designer or similar.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, Metahuman and Mutable
  • Experience with rigging and animation.
  • A passion for Sci-Fi, MMORPGs or both!


WHAT WE OFFER

Salary offered is based on numerous factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills and organizational needs.

  • Initial contract duration of 1 year (32-40 hours per week).
  • Yearly full-time gross salary of € 43K - € 68K (including 8% holiday bonus).
  • 25 vacation days per year + additional based on tenure.
  • Annuity/pension (10% of base gross salary, paid monthly).
  • Travel cost compensation (100% of NS train journey or € 0,23 per km of car/bicycle journey, paid monthly).
  • Free lunch.
