About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our Client team on a contract basis to help build, scale, and optimize AI/ML solutions in real-world applications. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product stakeholders to develop robust, production-ready machine learning systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy scalable ML models (classification, NLP, recommendation systems, etc.)
Collaborate with product and data teams to translate business problems into ML solutions
Optimize models for performance and scalability in production environments
Monitor and improve deployed models through retraining, drift detection, and A/B testing
Contribute to the development of MLOps practices and pipelines (CI/CD for ML)

Tech Stack

Languages: Python, SQL, (optional: Scala, Java)
ML Frameworks: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
Data: Pandas, NumPy, Spark (optional), Snowflake or similar
MLOps: MLflow, DVC, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Git
Cloud: AWS, Azure or GCP (SageMaker, Vertex AI, or similar)

Requirements

4+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Applied ML Scientist
Solid experience developing and deploying ML models in production
Experience working in agile product-driven teams
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, versioning)
Excellent communication skills in English
Based in Switzerland or able to work legally in Switzerland as a contractor

Nice to Have

Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or RAG pipelines
Familiarity with Swiss data privacy and compliance standards
German or French language skills
