Python Fullstack Developer with German

Who We Are

You will develop an innovative solution tailored for a major automotive client, focusing on enhancing productivity and efficiency in production processes. This solution will utilize a service-oriented architecture that allows for the use of standard components, which can be customized through parameterization to meet specific process requirements. This approach enables rapid and cost-effective implementation of requirements while ensuring a consistent software release across all locations of the client.

The solution will also emphasize high standards of stability, availability, usability, maintainability, scalability, and flexibility, particularly given that many applications will be critical production systems.

What You'll Be Doing

Collaborate with team members and customers in an agile environment to conceptualize and create stories
Estimate and implement backlog items, ensuring adherence to project quality standards through unit tests and code reviews
Proactively suggest technical improvements and engage in skill-building for both existing and emerging technologies
Support the Operations team with development-related tasks
Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven architectures as part of the service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Implement RESTful services for seamless integration and communication between components
Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability
Utilize monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to maintain system functionality and performance
Engage in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline development processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
Assist in the integration of IoT devices and platforms to enhance data collection and analytics capabilities
Work with Client-Server systems using virtual Linux instances and dedicated database systems
Ability to understand how web servers work such as Glassfish and Payara Micro
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
Use Angular, HTML, JSP, and CSS for front-end development
Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes

What You'll Bring Along

Bachelor’s degree or higher in in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Python is a must; understanding of Java or C/C++ is required
Strong background in SQL and database management (e.g., Oracle, Postgres)
Experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions and Jenkins for CI/CD processes
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana or Payara
Proficient in agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git
Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and various communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP)
Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines
Experience in writing unit tests and managing deployment processes
Understanding of architectural setups and their pros and cons
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn
Structured and organized work methodology
Ability to work independently while seeking support on specific topics
Experience with complex operational tasks related to infrastructure setup and management
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German
