Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Sr. Network Engineer.

Project

Currently initiating a firewall migration project, transitioning from WatchGuard to Palo Alto. Additionally, the team is planning to consolidate network switching infrastructure by migrating more vendors to Cisco solutions.

You Will Be a Great Fit If You Have:

• 3-5+ years of experience supporting networking environments (VPNs, VLANs, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and similar devices)
• certifications within the Networking Industry (CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or similar) with related experience
• familiarity with Palo Alto, WatchGuard and Clavister
• ability to troubleshoot medium complexity issues within the networking environment
• experience with coordinating, troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis
• ability to work within a team and in an international environment
• fluency in English, and German will be an advantage

Your responsibilities:

• monitor the connectivity of our OT system landscape daily to make sure that our Global Data Backbone is performing smoothly and without interruptions
• react to networking incidents to minimize disruptions, including daily checks
• analyze and eliminate technical incidents via the ticketing system, including documentation
• provide 2nd level support for networking incidents (VPN issues, remote access control, local FWs,…)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting networking environments (VPNs, VLANs, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and similar devices)
• certifications within the Networking Industry (CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or similar) with related experience
• familiarity with Palo Alto, WatchGuard and Clavister
• familiarity with Cisco switches
• ability to troubleshoot medium complexity issues within the networking environment
• experience with coordinating, troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis
• ability to work within a team and in an international environment
• fluency in English, and German will be an advantage
• previous experience with Azure (nice to have)
