Site Reliability Engineer (Python)

We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in Python to join our team. The engineer will be responsible for managing and enhancing cluster infrastructure at one of the largest compute infrastructure providers in the world. Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy deployment and monitoring systems to new tools and services
• Maintain and refactor internal services supporting critical systems
• Collaborate with the SRE team to understand system architecture, mechanisms, and interfaces
• Investigate configurations of tools and services used by the team
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests for code changes
• Contribute to creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Leverage Linux operations knowledge to troubleshoot and address system issues
• Develop solutions using Bash scripting and address networking-related challenges
• Engage effectively across multiple teams to align on goals and implementations
• Work independently to address tasks defined at a high level while resolving ambiguity
  
  
  

Requirements

• Background in system engineering and core DevOps principles with 3+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Linux basics, operations, and Bash scripting
• Expertise in networking fundamentals and software testing principles
• Competency in collaborating within large-scale technical environments and cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to write technical documentation and implement tests for code changes
• Understanding of task prioritization and ability to work independently within dynamic projects
• Showcase of English communication skills at a minimum B2 level

• Knowledge of Python or Go programming languages with proven experience
• Solid understanding of GCP (particularly IAM management and networking configurations) or other public cloud
