IT Project Leader – Life Sciences

About the Role
As an IT Project Leader – Life Sciences, you will play a key role in supporting research teams by leading the selection and implementation of IT applications in the Life Sciences domain. Your primary focus will be driving the digitalization of clinical processes. You will manage projects through all phases, applying Agile and traditional project management best practices to deliver business outcomes on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Initiation & Planning:
- Co-author project charters and business cases.
- Form and lead cross-functional, cross-geographic teams, developing schedules and execution frameworks.
- Project Execution & Monitoring:
- Manage projects using best practices (Scope, Time, Budget, Risk & Issues, Status Reporting, Lessons Learned).
- Ensure user requirements and functional specifications are well-documented.
- Implement project communication plans, providing updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Governance & Compliance:
- Maintain project health indicators and lead steering committees for alignment and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), GxP regulations, IT Policy Framework, and Cyber-security standards.
- Vendor & Transition Management:
- Assess and manage third-party vendor proposals and contracts.
- Ensure smooth transition of digital solutions to operational teams.
- Adoption & Validation:
- Drive optimal adoption of digital solutions in regulated environments.
- Experience in GxP-validated projects is a plus.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience:
- Proven IT Project Management experience, preferably in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharma.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Knowledge of GxP, validated systems, and compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
