Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Linux Focus (Singapore)

EC1 Partners is working with a leading buy-side firm that is scaling its technology platform to support growing global demand. The firm is known for its high-performance systems, collaborative culture, and strong emphasis on engineering excellence. As part of their ongoing investment in infrastructure and reliability, they are now looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer with deep Linux expertise to join their Singapore team.

Responsibilities

• Take a senior hands-on position in the global SRE team, focused on ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of critical systems
• Lead initiatives to improve observability, reliability, and incident response across core trading infrastructure
• Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices across Linux-based environments
• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and system monitoring
• Partner with development teams to influence best practices around architecture, performance, and reliability
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution, bringing a SRE mindset to everything you do
• Occasionally participate in on-call rotations for high-impact incident response and recovery

Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing, scaling and troubleshooting Linux systems in production environments
• Strong background in SRE/DevOps, with expertise in automation and system reliability
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and systems architecture principles
• Financial services experience is advantageous but not essential – a passion for building reliable infrastructure is key
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
