Chief CIAM Developer

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief CIAM Developer to lead the enhancement and modernization of our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution.

This role requires tackling technical challenges, providing strategic design recommendations, and overseeing end-to-end implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

Architect and develop high-quality software solutions for both back-end and front-end systems, ensuring security, scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization
Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, scrum masters, and engineers to define requirements, create solution strategies, and align implementations with business goals
Lead code reviews, encourage knowledge sharing, and cultivate a culture of security and code quality within the team
Implement secure coding practices to protect sensitive data, mitigate vulnerabilities, and ensure robust security in all software deliverables
Establish unit testing practices to improve code reliability, readability, and maintainability
Deliver solutions that balance usability and security, providing user-friendly interfaces while ensuring scalability and strong security frameworks
Stay informed about CIAM trends, regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and industry best practices to guide development strategies

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
At least 7 years of experience in software development
A minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing development teams
Extensive expertise in the CIAM domain, including customer access management technologies such as SSO, session and token management, OIDC, FIDO, RBA, and MFA
Experience with SAP Customer Data Cloud (formerly Gigya) preferred, but experience with other CIAM platforms like Auth0, Okta, or ForgeRock is also acceptable
Familiarity with API Gateways such as Apigee
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with major cloud providers, preferably AWS
Proficiency in engineering practices such as unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

Experience with MFA solutions, including Passkeys, FIDO, and WebAuthN
Knowledge of implementing Social Login functionalities for user authentication
Familiarity with APIs and integration processes
Hands-on experience working with REST APIs and Git for version control and collaboration
