The Opportunity

We are looking for a Business Engineer specialized in EP2 payment solutions on payment terminals. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing payment processes related to EP2 transactions, ensuring seamless integration between terminals, payment networks, and backend systems. You will collaborate with technical teams, merchants, and payment service providers to enhance terminal payment capabilities and customer experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyze EP2 payment flows on payment terminals, covering transaction initiation, authorization, settlement, and exception handling.
• Gather and document business requirements related to EP2 payment protocols, terminal hardware/software capabilities, and merchant needs.
• Collaborate with terminal manufacturers, software developers and acquirers to ensure smooth integration and compliance with EP2 standards.
• Support implementation and testing of EP2 payment solutions, including terminal software updates, security patches, and new feature rollouts.
• Ensure EP2 terminal payment solutions comply with relevant security standards (PCI PTS, EMVCo) and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project management activities for EP2 terminal deployments, software upgrades, and vendor coordination.
• Stay updated on EP2 protocol evolutions, terminal hardware innovations, and market trends to recommend enhancements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with payment terminals, specifically EP2 or equivalent payment protocols.
• Strong understanding of payment terminal architecture, software, and transaction lifecycle.
• Familiarity with payment security standards such as PCI PTS, EMV, and related certifications.
• Ability to translate technical terminal features into business requirements and vice versa.
• Solid knowledge of Android operating system and development environment
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with experience in transaction data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of payment industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with terminal firmware and software testing methodologies.
