Salesforce UX/UI Designer
Location: Sydney ( Hybrid role 3 days in office and 2 days WFH).
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential 12-month extension)
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline
Citizenship: Australian Citizens only with the ability to obtain a Baseline Clearance



About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Salesforce UX/UI Designer to join a dynamic Experience Design team within a Federal Government digital transformation initiative. This is your chance to shape meaningful, user-centric digital experiences that directly impact the lives of Australians, including participants and providers in the social services sector.

You will help improve internal systems and citizen-facing applications, using your strong UX/UI skillset to drive intuitive, accessible, and inclusive digital solutions. Your leadership will contribute significantly to the maturity and growth of the design function across multiple streams of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and contribute to a design system.

  • Facilitate co-design workshops and usability testing sessions with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Gather, analyse, and validate UI/UX requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Create and communicate design concepts through storyboards, user flows, and site maps.

  • Work closely with business analysts to capture data-related requirements.

  • Ensure documentation supports UI/UX needs and aligns with accessibility standards.

  • Influence change through user-centred design and evidence-based decision making.

  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of a government design system.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 4-6 years of experience in UX/UI design roles.

  • Expertise in requirements elicitation through workshops, prototyping, interviews, and other methods.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of UI/UX methodologies with experience designing to WCAG accessibility standards.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in presenting to senior audiences.

  • Experience designing within Salesforce platforms.

  • Familiarity with digital accessibility requirements and standards.

  • Passion for inclusive design and enthusiasm for evolving accessibility practices.
