React Developer

About our role:

Our client is a major player in Belgium’s banking sector, and they’re rebuilding their entire digital experience from scratch. This isn’t just about writing code—it’s about creating something that people trust with their lives, every single day.

You’ll be working on a brand-new web banking platform that is fast, secure, and personal. The tech stack is modern, the architecture is clean, and the vision is ambitious. But more importantly, the mission matters. This is your chance to do meaningful work that blends innovation with responsibility.

What you will be doing:

• Build features that are fast, reliable and easy to use for people who count on them every day.
• Use React, TypeScript and a component-driven approach to bring new ideas to life in a secure banking environment.
• Work closely with solution designers and backend engineers to turn complex challenges into simple experiences.
• Use Lit Web Components and a unified Design System to keep things consistent, beautiful and scalable.
• Improve the way things are done: mentor your peers, review code, question assumptions, and push for better solutions.
• Be part of a team that cares deeply about their craft, their colleagues, and the people using the platform.

What you bring:

• A mindset of ownership, you don’t just write code, you build outcomes.
• Relevant experience with React and strong skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Confidence with HTML5, CSS3, and building large-scale single-page applications.
• Familiarity with micro frontends, modern build tools like Vite, and test frameworks like Jest or Vitest.
• Curiosity for design systems, and appreciation for clean, accessible interfaces.
• Comfort working in Agile teams and using tools like Git in collaborative ways.
• Bonus: experience with Lit Web Components, Node.js BFFs, Azure, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
