Job role: Data Scientist (Intermediate)

Location: The Hague

My client are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and work on a range of consulting and software development projects. In this role, you'll contribute to projects like enhancing demand forecasting and inventory management software to help organizations reduce waste and improve delivery reliability. You'll also engage in projects with social impact, such as wage gap research, where you'll develop algorithms to promote equal pay regardless of gender or background. Throughout projects, you’ll regularly consult with clients to ensure alignment with their processes and needs.

Additionally, you may have the opportunity to participate in professional education programs by teaching R/Python programming as part of a one-year post-master’s data science program.

What We’re Looking For

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Econometrics, Operations Research, AI, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data science consulting projects
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach; able to translate client needs into effective solutions
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Good command of Dutch
• Proficiency in programming, especially R/Python
• An interest in teaching is a plus
