Java Developer

We are looking for a Java Developer for one of the largest IT Services and Consulting firms in the world. (fluent in English & Dutch)

Location: Utrecht (hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex Java-based applications
• Provide 24/7 support as needed
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write testable, scalable, and efficient code
• Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Maintain code quality and documentation
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising effective solutions
• Drive continuous improvement and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate across teams to achieve high-impact outcomes

What We’re Looking For:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5-9 years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong background in Java EE, Spring Framework, and web frameworks (e.g., JSF, Spring MVC)
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM (JPA, Hibernate)
• Proficient in version control (Git) and test-driven development (JUnit)
• Experience with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with FX, Linux (Red Hat), and possibly Azure, Tibco EMS, Angular, or Oracle DB

Preferred Skills:

• JavaFX, Swing, and WebLogic experience
• Knowledge of Ansible, iLog JViews, and rich thick client applications
