Key Responsibilities:

1. Understanding Business Needs and Requirements:

· Analysing Business Strategy for Group Pensions line of Business:

A solution architect needs to deeply understand the client's business goals, objectives, and strategic direction.

· Gathering Requirements:

They work with stakeholders to gather and document both business and technical requirements for a solution.

· Translating Requirements:

They translate these requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and designs.

2. Designing Solutions for MP365, Compass and Interfaces:

· Architectural Design:

They develop the overall technical vision for a solution, creating blueprints and architectural diagrams.

· Technology Selection:

They evaluate and choose appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools for the solution.

· Integration:

They ensure that the solution integrates seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure.

· Scalability and Security:

They design solutions with scalability, security, and performance in mind.

3. Guiding Implementation:

Technical Leadership: They provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.

Collaboration: They work closely with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Documentation: They create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the solution.

Risk Management: They identify and mitigate potential technical risks associated with the solution.

4. Ensuring Solution Quality:

Compliance: They ensure that the solution complies with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Testing: They participate in testing and validation of the solution to ensure it meets requirements.

Performance Analysis: They conduct performance analysis and optimization of the solution.

Continuous Improvement: They identify areas for improvement and advocate for process enhancements.

5. Communication and Stakeholder Management:

Communicating Technical Vision: They effectively communicate the technical vision and design to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement: They actively engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Advising and Consulting: They advise stakeholders on technical matters and provide expert guidance.
