Fullstack Developer

Position overview

We are seeking a Fullstack Developer to join our team in a challenging project with one of our clients, a global leader in audio and media streaming. In this role, you will help build internal tools and APIs that allow client developers ship their features with user behaviour instrumentation. As part of this squad, you will closely collaborate with internal customers (e.g. feature developers, data consumers, insight managers, etc) to determine the best solutions to scalably meet their needs.

Our client offers millions of songs, albums, and podcasts to users worldwide and has transformed music listening through on-demand streaming, personalized recommendations, and social features.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a fast-paced environment to build an analytic tool for our developers
• Collaborate with other engineers, data scientists, designers, user researchers and product managers to craft the best possible user experience on our internal tools and infrastructure
• Evolve our JS SDK to support new features in the UBI infrastructure
• Ensure that our APIs will have smooth integration with the current web clients – the desktop and tv app to name a few
• Identify pain points in adoption and integration experience of our engineers to our internal tools
• Ensure the developer experience is seamless for all developers

Requirements

• At least 5 years of previous experience on a similar role;
• Proficient with React and JavaScript (TypeScript nice to have)
• Experience with modern JavaScript coding, testing, debugging, and automation techniques;
• Comfortable around infrastructure and have a bit of Java coding experience
• You care about the user experience and know how to build user-friendly web applications
• Passionate about building a good developer experience by creating robust APIs on tracking user behaviour data
• You have a quality-mindset and are interested in all parts of software development: coding, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• It is a bonus if you have experience with any of the following areas: GCP, Kubernetes, GRPC, protobuf, large scale data pipelines.
