This is a Mitacs internship program and as a DevOps Engineer Intern, you will


  • Help deploy our software stack to Fortune 500 clients’ servers.
  • Participate in the design of Multiverse’s toolbox interface.
  • Assist in automating software deployment and delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support the maintenance and scaling of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
  • Contribute to monitoring and troubleshooting development and production environments.
  • Learn and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to innovation in tooling and automation.


Required Qualifications


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Academic or project experience in DevOps, system administration, or backend development.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Interest in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Eagerness to learn containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Passion for clean code, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD).
  • Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Interest in quantum computing or advanced computing environments.
