Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Position Overview
Client is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for a high-impact, remote role that will begin as a 6-month contract and convert to full-time. This position requires a strong technical leader with deep C#/.NET expertise, solid C++ experience, and proven hands-on work with cloud technologies (Azure preferred). Candidates should be full-time employment-oriented — career contractors will not be considered.

Key Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in C#/.NET as the primary technology stack
- Working experience with C++ in production environments
- Cloud proficiency – Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP experience also acceptable
- Broad technical background across multiple technologies, showing adaptability and architectural thinking
- Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-scale development efforts
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly
- Technologist with breadth — someone who can code, design, architect, and mentor
- Has delivered scalable solutions in a cloud-native or hybrid cloud environment
- Ready and excited to transition into a full-time role after the contract period
- Brings a mix of hands-on development and high-level system design experience
- Experience working in collaborative, distributed Agile teams
- 60-minute video interview – Technical screening
- 90-minute technical panel – Includes a presentation by the candidate on a topic of their choice
- 30-minute final round – Cultural and behavioral interview with leadership
