Overview

Title: Power BI Dashboard Designer

Location: Remote or Hybrid in Tustin, CA if reside within 32 miles from office.

Pay: $80k a year.

Our analytics team turns data into crisp, insight-packed stories that drive smarter decisions across the business. We’re looking for a designer-builder who lives and breathes Power BI—someone who can craft dashboards that look great, perform fast, and tell exactly the right story to sales, marketing, and mortgage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• What you’ll do
• Own end-to-end dashboard development in Power BI—from data modeling and DAX measures to sleek, user-focused visuals.
• Partner with marketing, sales, and mortgage teams to translate questions into wireframes, prototypes, and final reports.
• Optimize data models, queries, and visuals so large datasets load quickly and scale gracefully as usage grows.
• Write and tune SQL (work with data-engineering teams) to surface the right data for your reports.
• Maintain and iterate on an evolving design system for colors, typography, and layout standards across all dashboards.
• Champion best practices for performance monitoring, governance, security roles, and deployment pipelines in Power BI Service.
• Run live trainings and create quick-start guides so end users get the most from the insights you build.
  

Qualifications

What you bring:

• Must have
• 3+ years - Hands-on, professional Power BI development (Power BI Desktop & Service
• 3+ years - Proven portfolio of interactive dashboards that balance aesthetics, clarity, and speed
• 2+ years - Solid grasp of data modeling concepts )star schema, incremental refresh, query folding)
• 1 year - Working knowledge of SQL for data exploration and transfermation
• 2+ years - Ability to explain design and technical trade-offs to both business and technical audiences
• Nice-to-have (boosts your application)
• Experience with mortgage, lending, or financial-services datasets.
• Exposure to sales & marketing funnels, campaign analytics, or lead-scoring models.
• Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or other BI platform skills.
• Knowledge of performance tuning in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, etc.).

Desired Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Must have experience working with a data visualization tool Tableau
• Relevant experience as a business analyst, data analyst or related role is a plus.
• Must have working knowledge of SQL and creating complex queries.
