We are looking for a freelance "Java Software Engineer" in Carinthia & remote for our client in the field of transportation technology solutions.

Start: asap (latest possible mid September)

Location: Carinthia (Austria- Kärnten) & remote (10/90% remote)

Duration: 6 -12 MM++ (fulltime)

PROJECT TASKS

• Software development for Intelligent Mobility and Tolling Solutions
• Design, implementation and testing of cloud-ready applications
• Develop clean, well-commented and reusable code which is easy to maintain and extend
• Conduct effective Java code reviews giving your team less work down the line
• Work closely with our product and dev teams to produce top quality work

QUALIFICATION

• Strong project Experience in software architecture and development with Java 21/ ideally Version 25 technology stack
• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in GIS and Geospatial data of advantage
• Hands-on experience with k8s, Kafka (nice to have: Cassandra, Redis)
• Familiarity with Linux, Spring Boot, Message Brokers, SQL, noSQL
• Automated test experience of high advantage (component and integration tests with Python and the robot framework)
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools, preferably Gitlab
• Understanding of infrastructure and application automation, preferably Ansible (or Helm)
• Excellent English skills
