Job Description:

• Demonstrable experience as a network specialist
• Demonstrable experience with system administration and system configurations with regard to the applied networking technology
• Demonstrable experience with network infrastructure (e.g. Cisco Fortigate, ....)
• Demonstrable experience with Routing & Switching
• Demonstrable experience of Network Security
• Demonstrable experience with LAN, WAN protocols
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2.

Context

• Technology knowledge: the more relevant knowledge and experience within the technologies used the better.
• Palo Alto firewalls (Multiple clusters in Active/Active and Active/passive) + Panorama
• Extreme networks wired campus network (Fabric with ISIS/SPBM, XIQ-SE)
• Aruba Clearpass
• NAC
• Advanced knowledge in: LAN/WLAN, BGP, DNS/DHCP, 802.1X, Network security,
• Hands on experience with managing large and complex campus networks
• Nice to have technology experience: F5(LTM/AFM ddos), Juniper switching JunOS + Apstra, Infoblox

Some possible projects:

• Rolling out NAC on the wired campus network with Extreme networks switches and Aruba Clearpass NAC.
• Switching from PEAP authentication to EAP-TLS for wireless network
• Setting up POC for use Aruba central
• Participating in the migration process around Palo Alto, reworking legacy firewall rulebase to a new structure.
• Continue segmentation strategy. Setting up Vlans/Zones/firewall rules on Palo Alto. Be able to take technical lead over the implementation. Collaboration with various parties, including other internal services. Configuring and testing solutions. Establish documentation and SOP procedures to ensure operational operation. Dealing with complex network issues that involve different technologies. Looking at the environment with a critical eye and making proposals for improvement where necessary.
