They are growing the engineering team and are looking for someone passionate about crafting reliable, maintainable backend systems to support our mission of transforming education at scale.

The Role
As a Backend Engineer, you'll be working closely with our QA and support teams to debug complex issues, implement improvements to existing systems, and support the onboarding of new clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and making iterative enhancements to a modern production system.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve issues in production and staging environments

• Work with QA and support teams to triage, reproduce, and document bugs

• Deliver improvements to existing backend services

• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code

• Assist with onboarding client data into our systems

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in Java and SQL

• Strong understanding of Spring or similar backend frameworks

• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills

• Experience with REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)

• Familiarity with Git and modern development tools

• Bonus: Some experience with frontend frameworks like ReactJS
