Business Data Analyst (Daily Rate Contract)

My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract with a strong possibility of extension. The Business Analyst will cover Master Data / Open Data items Data dictionaries, defining rules and flows for a migration project from SAP ECC6 to SAP Hanna4.

Responsibilities

• Drive analysis and design for data-centric solutions within a complex FMCG environment.
• Define data objects (Customer, Vendor, Product/Material) and business rules.
• Develop and manage data dictionaries, perform data cleansing and transformation.
• Support Master Data tool implementation and related business approval workflows.
• Conduct gap analysis between ECC6 and S/4HANA systems to ensure readiness for system cutover.
• Document AS-IS / TO-BE processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Skills / Experience

• 10+ years of delivering IT/business solutions for complex transformation programmes.
• Deep knowledge of Master Data domains and data governance.
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC6 vs. S/4HANA, particularly data model changes.
• Proven experience in gap analysis, data lifecycle mapping, and system transition planning.
• Comfortable operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Advanced documentation skills: process mapping, user/functional specs, RTMs, user stories.
• Strong data analysis, including Excel, SQL, and database tools.
• Experience engaging with 3rd-party vendors, developers, and architecture teams.
• Commercial acumen with ability to embed in and navigate across multiple business units.
• GxP exposure and familiarity with ERP, WMS, CRM, digital platforms, or analytics tools.
• Relevant Business Analysis certifications (e.g. IIBA, BCS) desirable.
