About The Team

MAN eese is the essential and central development environment for all vehicle software development projects in the Electronics Engineering area. It’s the best possible software development backbone for the software development lifecycle with focus on requirement management, dependency management and documentation. It’s a common engineering data backbone for an agile system development. It is an in-house MAN developed content management, version and variant control tool.

Our team is focused on this application’s management, application development and improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Working in the context of automotive IoT you will create, test, deploy and run (DevOps) customer-facing solutions and internal services running on modern cloud infrastructure;
• You will develop and maintain functionality for our trucks using agile methodologies, being responsible for integral parts of our technical roadmap;
• You will create products, prototypes and MVPs for near-vehicle services;
• You will design, develop and operate cloud native microservices using serverless functions, containers, RESTful APIs and event streaming;
• Be able to take end to end responsibility for the products you build, working closely with other departments to test your software as part of the complete system;
• Advise your team and other teams on all questions around Backend development in electric vehicle area and work together on continuously improving the service, tooling and processes;
• Take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, being the interface between design, technology and user. You are a result-oriented individual;
• Learn new technologies and to solve problems in innovative and pragmatic ways
  
  

Your Skills

• Experience in working within agile teams
• Practical experience in developing Java applications
• Knowledge in developing and operating applications on cloud technologies, preferably AWS, as well as the use of relational databases (Oracle)
• High quality awareness with a feel for clean software architecture, clean code, usability, automated testing and functioning CI/CD (Gitlab)
• Openness and courage as well as the willingness to give and receive feedback regularly
• Excellent analytical, methodical and structured thinking, creativity and organizational skills paired with a confident appearance and a high degree of result and solution orientation
• Experience in implementing APIs and REST interfaces

⁃ Experience in ECU/control device software development

⁃ Experience with self-developed/customized repositories

⁃ Experience in developing and maintaining of onPremonPrem, onPremCloud interfaces
