This role offers the opportunity to work onsite with one of our esteemed clients in Abu Dhabi, UAE, delivering cutting-edge network engineering services.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep technical expertise in managing complex enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancer and WAF, Cisco Routers/Switches, and GlobalProtect VPN. This is a senior individual contributor role, not suitable for junior profiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor and analyze network performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency, or connectivity issues.
• Manage, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, F5 Load Balancers/WAF, and Cisco Networks.
• Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests within agreed SLAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize secure and scalable network solutions.
• Perform regular network backups, health checks, and ensure DR/BCP procedures are documented and operational.
• Ensure end-to-end network security, including implementation of firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and continuous monitoring.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Utilize tools like Wireshark and other diagnostics to perform detailed network analysis.
• Provide support and maintain Voice Infrastructure (Avaya technology experience is a plus).
• Mentor junior team members if required and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of proven experience in network engineering and support.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Palo Alto Firewalls & GlobalProtect VPN
• F5 Load Balancer and Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Cisco Routers, Switches, and Wireless Technologies
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization.
• Exposure to Avaya or similar phone systems will be an added advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills using tools like Wireshark.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle mission-critical network issues with minimal supervision.
