Senior Infrastructure & Network Operations Engineer

Job Description

The individual designated for the role of Senior Infrastructure & Network Operations Engineer must possess the skills and experience necessary to support both day-to-day operations and projects initiated by the organization. And the candidate must have minimum 10 years of experience in system and Infrastructure administration for operations and projects.

• Responsible for managing Windows/Linux servers, performing regular backups, patch management, user account administration, and assisting in DR drills. Minimum 10 years of experience with enterprise-grade infrastructure. KPIs: Patch compliance, backup success rate, server health scores.
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems on cloud platforms, on-premises infrastructure, and user endpoints.
• The candidate must have strong cloud administration skills to manage access management, compute, Paas and Iaas services on Azure, Office 365 Services and Google Cloud services.
• Experience in managing, integrating, and securing an On-prem Active directory, Entra ID and Exchange Online and on-prem.
• Experience in managing and securing virtualization platforms and hyper-converged infrastructure, such as VMware and VxRail, Nutanix or other hardware platforms
• Experience in managing and securing File server platforms, ADFS, DNS and Domain controllers on cloud and on-prem
• Develop and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO), Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) policies, as well as Intune security and administration policies to oversee endpoint security and patch management.
• Experience in managing Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions for endpoint security and response, using Microsoft Defender and antivirus software.
• Experience in managing and configuring desktop virtualization and virtual application solutions, such as Citrix XenApp and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Identify and implement system security baseline policies on systems running on cloud, on-prem and User endpoints aligned with security policies.
• Collaborating with stakeholders. Work with cross-functional teams to align security policies with organizational goals and industry standards.
• Responding and supporting incident response efforts to address cyberattacks, malware, or breaches effectively.
• The candidate should have strong expertise in ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, Request Fulfilment, and Problem Management.
• The candidate must have Azure Cloud certification, with VMware certification being a desirable addition.
